Hotel and Restaurant Management course now offered at UE

The University of the East Caloocan’s new offering for SY 2008-2009 is the Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management (BSHRM). Last year, UE Manila successfully launched the BSHRM.

UE aims to provide the hospitality industry with competent manpower in its broad variety of service industries. Considered as the world’s largest and fast growing industry, the hospitality industry has a 3.5 trillion dollar service sector worldwide.

UE envisions graduates of this program to have comprehensive know-how and skills as competent hospitality industry professionals. The program employs industry experts to provide students with cutting-edge learning. UE invested multi-million pesos in appropriate infrastructure for the course, completed in time for the June school opening. The new infrastructure comprises a bungalow-type mock-hotel with a fine dining room, a reception area, different rooms of hotel-standard, a suite room, housekeeping and skills laboratories—comparable to five-star hotel amenities. In UE Manila, modern kitchen equipment was installed for Culinary Arts and HRM students to complement its mock hotel facilities.

The BSHRM beefs up the accountancy, business administration, communication arts, engineering, entrepreneurship, fine arts, tourism and security management—course offerings at the UE Caloocan. Soon to be offered at the UE Caloocan are computer science, information systems and architecture

UE Caloocan is highly accessible to students from Caloocan, Malabon, Navotas, Valenzuela (CAMANAVA), Bulacan, Pampanga and Bataan.
